The Ministry of Justice has launched a special programme to provide better access to justice for the people in the Northern Province.

Launching the “Adhikaranabhimani’ programme, the Ministry aims at improving the judicial services provided by its affiliated institutions in the province.

The programme that was launched today (26) will continue till Sunday, the 30th of January in the Kilinochchi, Vavuniya, Mannar, Mullaitivu, and Jaffna Districts.

The Ministry of Justice has called on the people of the Northern Province to take this opportunity to resolve their issues pertaining to the services offered by the Ministry of Justice and institutions under its purview.

The mobile service will be held on the 29th and 30th of this month from 9.30 am to 4 pm at Jaffna Central College. Jaffna District Government Agent Ganapathipillai Mahesan said that the public will be able to use this mobile service effectively and obtain solutions as many departments will be involved in this mobile service.

The following are the departments that will be participating in this mobile service and the services that will be provided to the public through them.

Office for Compensation	Those who have not yet received compensation for civil property loss, death and injury related claims already sent to the Rehabilitation Authority, government employee property loss claims and war temple damaged property claims can also submit these documents. Details of self-employment project training courses can be obtained from this mobile service.
Office of National Unity and Reconciliation	The organization will carry out activities related to awareness, national unity and reconciliation.
Authority for the Protection of Victims of Crime and Witnesses	A special window has been opened to receive the problems or grievances of the people as victims or witnesses of the crime and they have been facilitated to present their issues here. Carrying out awareness activities related to the services provided to the public by this department.
Department Registration of Persons	Complete application form for obtaining new, renewed and lost identity cards along with relevant documents You can know the current status of the application for obtaining the identity card already submitted to the Divisional Secretariat. Those who face difficulties in submitting an application for an identity card can seek related advice.
Registrar General's Department	Obtaining late birth and death marriage records with relevant documents can be obtained from the community and further advice can be obtained in this regard.
Office of Social Reform	Information on the services of the Department of Community Reform can be obtained.
